Friends,

This update has been a long time coming, but I’m happy to announce I’ve finished designing the ordering process for my Family Tree product! I just have to figure out a cute name for them… but that’ll come soon. 😉

1. Ordering process development update:

While creating a Family Tree with provided names seems pretty straightforward, collecting information in a clear way for input is where things can get tricky. Developing a reliable system for both the buyer and myself to discern name placement and provide insurance that names are spelled correctly is vital to the process.

The system I’ve designed utilizes both a digital form and companion worksheet.

2. "Family Tree Helper" Worksheet:

The companion worksheet, my “Family Tree Helper,” is the freebie mentioned above. It acts as a visualization to help keep names in order as well as a confirmation tool for name spelling comparison.

On the first page is a generational map mirroring the product design with numbers assigned to each space. On the second page, is a maternal chart for family names matching the corresponding numbers of the map. Same on page three, but for the paternal side.

BONUS! After creating the worksheet, I thought I would offer it as a free resource to all of you while I move forward with the rest of the prep. 🥳 Regardless of whether or not you'd like one of my Family Tree designs, the worksheet is a nice standalone to aid in your research. Use it to keep track of five-generations of your family tree.

3. And finally, testing!

My testers will receive a FREE digital copy of one of the five design options available during this first iteration of the product. Testing will begin sometime in the first half of June and spots are limited. If you’d like to be involved and meet the criteria listed below, please let me know. Spots are available on a first come, first served basis! So, touch base for next steps if you’d like to help me iron out the kinks for the ordering process.

• You have 5-generations of family names and can easily provide them (this includes the central person - so you'll need names for parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents).
• You will be available for questions and/or a quick survey so I can address and fix any issues you may encounter during the ordering process before the public launch.
• You agree that you’ll receive a digital copy (PDF) of your Family Tree in return. (If you’d like a printed copy, that is an option, but will be a paid add-on reflective of the upcoming presale launch fee.)
